ArgonDigital was formed out of a merger of several companies, including ReqExperts and Seilevel, who both have been specializing in business analysis, product management, and systems engineering for 20+ years. Most of our business has been centered on performing this kind of work for a variety of clients the entire time.
All of our courses are taught by an experienced Product Management professionals who hone their skills every day executing a variety of business analysis services for our clients. We believe that to be successful teaching a class, you must have lived the experience of eliciting, specifying, and managing requirements. Our instructors provide real examples and scenarios that push students to think about requirements on their own projects.
Our clients come to us for the experience we have acquired working with Fortune 1000 clients over the past 20+ years. They come from all backgrounds, from the financial sector to aerospace engineering. We find that this type of work doesn’t require previous industry-domain experience, particularly in teaching the techniques. If it’s helpful, some clients have asked us to adopt examples and exercises that are relevant to their domain.
ArgonDigital has focused on developing a standardized and repeatable process for requirements development for many years; ultimately publishing a couple of award-winning requirements books and developing the requirements modeling language (RML™) that we incorporate in all of our training courses. Our COO, Joy Beatty, has been with the company for over 20 years, co-authored Visual Models for Software Requirements with our President, Anthony Chen, which incorporates our ArgonDigital methodologies for a fine-tuned requirements process. As the primary creator of our requirements training materials, Joy has extensive experience in requirements development and is a recognized leader in the business analysis community.
With that, our content is typically methodology agnostic. Our techniques work in everything from waterfall to agile projects. We explain in each course how to adapt them accordingly. Of course, some of our clients have asked us to teach agile-focused classes, so we have that content readily available as well.
To provide the most effective learning environment, we encourage the use of frequent exercises throughout all of our training courses. We have developed a variety of drills as part of our class structure that each student participates in, and roughly 60% of class time is spent practicing exercises that reinforce core concepts.
Our courses are interactive and engaging to help students retain the lessons. Our instructors use real world examples to convey learning material, which helps students better conceptualize how to apply techniques to their own projects. Our instructors are all ArgonDigital-certified class instructors that spend 90% of their time working on client projects as consultants. We do not leverage professional trainers that are not actively engaged with client projects.
