Visual Models for Software Requirements: An excerpt on Decision Tables

Carol at Microsoft Press blogged today and shared an excerpt from Chapter 16, one of my favorite chapters in Visual Models for Software Requirements. Why do I like Chapter 16? Because it highlights a model you likely haven’t used as often as you could and should: Decision Tables!

A bit of chapter 16, from Carol’s excerpt:

“The Decision Table is an RML systems model that helps you analyze all the permutations of complex logic in a comprehensive way. Decision Tables are used to answer the question, ‘Under what conditions will this outcome occur?’ or ‘Given these conditions, what outcome should I choose?’”
