Case Study: Vasa Warship Project
The Vasa was a Swedish warship that was built over a period of four years, 1625 – 1628…it sank on its maiden voyage sailing all of 1300 meters before being toppled by a small gust of wind. Sadly, the factors that lead to the Vasa project failure are many of the same factors that challenge the projects of today. In the 60-minute webinar, we introduce you to the Vasa warship project. We will discuss the actions and decisions made by the Executive Sponsor (Sweden’s King Gustav II) and project management that lead to the project’s ultimate “failure”.
