IIBA Silicon Valley Chapter Meeting Hosts “Visual Models Quick Start” January 16, 2013

Visual Models for Software RequirementsVisual software requirements models are coming to Northern California. If you’ll be in the Bay Area January 16, please join the Silicon Valley IIBA when they host Betsy Stockdale, Requirements Architect. Betsy will be presenting “Immediately Improve Your Software Requirements by Implementing Visual Models.”

If business analysts give developers a list of thousands of “system shall” requirements statements, the project is doomed to fail even before code is written. Don’t be one of those doomed to fail!

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Model business processes to define requirements
  • Model user interface screen display and behavior requirements
  • Use a requirements mapping matrix to identify missing requirements, ensure coverage across multiple models, and cut requirements from scope

Those attendees who provide their business card will be eligible to receive a free copy of Visual Models for Software Requirements, published this summer by Microsoft Press. All attendees will receive a soft copy PDF of the presentation as well.
