Over the last 6 months, the ArgonDigital team has refreshed our Requirements Management Tool Study and the results are almost ready! As a preview of what’s to come in the new year, we are releasing the Phase 1 results now (Download here: https://bit.ly/1RS6D3O). Phase 1 involved narrowing 185 possible candidate tools down to 70 that seemed relevant to our criteria. Of those, 45 were actually ones we could evaluate (others we couldn’t get demos of and deemed not worth pursuing further). Keep in mind, there are some tools that are great tools that aren’t in Phase 1 because they just didn’t align well with the focus of our study.
Part of our Requirements Management Tool Study refresh included revamping the evaluation criteria. We prioritized a total of 241 requirements with weighted values of 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8 (where 8 is high). We evaluated the 45 tools included in Phase 1 against what we considered to be the top priority criteria (28 of them). We are evaluating 24 tools in Phase 2, the final phase, against 207 total criteria. Our final write up of the results will be released in early 2016.
I would encourage you not to read too much into these scores by themselves, since they are based on only a fraction of the total criteria we are evaluating. If you have questions about any tool not in our Phase 2, reach out to us – we are happy to share what we learned!
